Kint is a small, backwater place with its own small and disastrously controversial government. Pictured: Orfo is a sort-of political dissident with these really long and stringy limbs. He openly opposes the policies of Kint’s Authoritarian government and has as of last week fled the nation as a means of escaping capital prosecution and maybe even public execution. 

His flat in the capital city has been stripped of all furniture and personal artifacts. The only thing that remains is a tapestry adorned with Kint’s totally untrue and purely idealistic government slogan—“PROSPERITY; WEALTH” The tapestry isn’t just a decorative thing but is actually a required-by-law feature of all officially registered Kintian residences and municipal structures, hence Orfo’s decision to leave it behind. There’s also an angry notice pinned up on the door and a sour-smelling patch of mold coming up from between the floorboards where the lamp used to be and moving slowly outwards. Maybe one day the floor will have been entirely swallowed by mold—who knows? Orfo is one of many citizens to flee the rapidly-dying country after a series of sweeping policies and regulations which just really aren’t at all ideal, especially for individuals with really long and stringy limbs.
